Industrial Vacuum Manufacturer Adopts Online Ordering for their B2B Customers

busch Logo

USA based Busch Vacuum Solutions sells products for industrial vacuum and over-pressure systems used in a wide range of applications such as food packaging, sterilizing medical equipment, and clay degassing. Products include a range of pumps, blowers, compressors, and oils. In addition, they provide service and support for customers who have already purchased their proprietary vacuum systems.

Case for Change

They previously used an offline, manual order entry process but wanted to make it easier for their customers to order their goods 24/7 so they reached out to Cloudfy in search of a B2B ecommerce software for industrial products.

Key Cloudfy Features

✓ INTEGRATION WITH VERTEX TAX CALCULATOR

A key feature of this project is the checkout integration with Vertex’ tax calculator, which generates tax rates for companies with complex tax transactions, during the checkout experience. The tax rate for Busch’s customers is calculated based on the customer’s delivery address and the product purchased. The challenge was that Busch sells products that have an exponential number of tax scenarios based on the product and the location, and they needed their shopping cart process to calculate those taxes in real time. For example, when a Busch customer adds an item to their cart and navigates to the checkout, Vertex is triggered to provide the tax rate for that product and the customer’s location. The amount of the tax then appears right there on the checkout screen.

✓ SHIPPERHQ INTEGRATION

Cloudfy also integrated with Shipper HQ delivery software, which acts as a hub to different shipping platforms. Shipper HQ calculates the specs of the product being purchased to determine the best packaging and delivery options and integrates real time shipping rate calculations based on the delivery address.

✓ USER WORKFLOWS

Cloudfy’s user workflow feature that allows Busch’s corporate customers to create sub-users underneath the main customer record so that multiple people can log in through different accounts but still have their transaction recorded under the proper parent customer record.

✓ EXCEL DATA IMPORTS

To populate the site with products, quantities, pricing, customer records and more content, their Cloudfy ecommerce portal is setup to import data from their internal office systems using Excel and CSV import processes.
