ACM Parts is Australia’s largest provider for the automotive repair industry. It distributes a wide range of paint and panel supplies and consumables. Repairers can source all their parts and supplies from one location.
The extensive consumables range includes cleaning, polishing, repair and detailing products such as abrasives, adhesives and fillers. They also provide auto cleaning and personal protection equipment. Overall, this amounts to hundreds of products which auto workshops could order more efficiently online.

The Challenge
In mid-2022 the company was preparing for business growth after the pandemic. At the time, it wasn’t selling its extensive range of over 1,300 consumable items online. There was a clear opportunity to simplify and scale sales.
With an ambitious target to launch a new site by year-end they were looking for a reliable implementation partner. Cloudfy’s comprehensive pre-built B2B ecommerce features and integrations made it the ideal solution.
Our Approach
The first step was a discovery and audit process to understand ACM Parts’ business challenges so the new site launch would run smoothly. This included analysis of the competitive landscape and a series of meetings and workshops to define the project’s scope.
Once the details were defined and agreed the project plan required rapid delivery in just 15 weeks. This included integration with their NetSuite enterprise (ERP) system which supplies all the product and pricing data for the site. Thanks to detailed advanced planning the whole project went smoothly.
To simplify order processing Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST) rules were set up in Cloudfy.
Because many customers place frequent repeat orders, email ordering via a template was also an important requirement. Customers can save multiple lists of frequently purchased items for fast reordering. It’s easy to add extra items to an order template by searching for the product name or stockkeeping unit. They can simply update the quantity in the template and add all the items to checkout with a simple click.
Registered customers can easily manage their account via their user dashboard too, so customer service enquiries are reduced.
In addition, we implemented a payment gateway for National Australia Bank or NAB. A specific requirement for the Australian market, it supports both online and in-person credit card and debit card payments.
NetSuite Integration
Like Cloudfy, NetSuite is a software as a service (SaaS) solution in the cloud. It combines accounting, business and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
Although it includes an ecommerce solution too, complex business to business sales need a purpose designed platform. Cloudfy’s pre-built NetSuite integration provided a fast and effective way to achieve ACM Parts’ goals.
It was possible to meet the 15-week delivery target with a flat setup fee and practical monthly subscriptions. Customers now have seamless self-service ordering and can see their order status, pricing, products and inventory in near real time. They can even view and pay their invoices around the clock so ACM Parts’ cashflow improves too.
Next steps
As planned, the new site was live for the beginning of 2023, supporting consumables sales across Australia for ACM Parts. The Cloudfy team is on hand to provide advice and to support their B2B ecommerce plans for the future.
